CC Class

This is a picture of the latest group from the Complete Childbirth classes.

I just love them!

They are full of questions and have such a great attitude about birth.

We had our labor rehearsal class on this night and it was sooo much fun.

I always love this class because it is so hands on.  I am a very hands on kind of person, so it makes it so much easier for me to understand and communicate when there is stuff to actually do instead of say.

We made rice socks which is always a hit with everyone.

We fill up a long crew sock with rice and add some essential oils and tie a knot in the end.

They can then take it home and stick it in the microwave for 2 minutes and have a great smelling, good feeling heat pack.

We also practiced lots of different relaxation positions and techniques while using aromatherapy and listening to some lovely relaxation music.

It was great fun.

I’ve been using my rice sock often since we made them last week. I think I even used it that very night.

Mark and I have been enjoying the class. What a difference there is between this class and a regular Lamaze class. This one is much more informative and in-depth. It really gives you a view of the whole picture…explains the disadvantages to a lot of the medical interventions, which is not something you hear at a hospital Lamaze class.

You’ve got my recommendation! And like I said on the Senseo survey…I’m involved in many groups, we meet up to 10 times a month, and my opinion is highly valued by my friends and family!!! ;)

What a great idea to make rice socks with your class! I just started my first Bradley series and this sounds like a wonderful idea to do sometime–or at least give as a gift. (My own rice sock and I are best pals–I even sewed a pretty rice bag for myself to make it more attractive than an old husband sock!)
